Smooth Away Wrinkles with Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Letybo & Daxxify

Tox treatments are the most-performed cosmetic treatment in the world for one reason: they work. A series of tiny injections relaxes the specific muscles that crease your skin — softening forehead lines, frown lines (the “11s”) and crow’s feet while keeping your natural expression. At Forever Medspa, every tox treatment is physician-administered by Dr. Deepak Keswani, MD, and we carry all five FDA-approved brands so the product is matched to you, not the other way around.

The Brands We Carry

All five are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A products that work the same way — they differ mainly in onset speed, dosing units and longevity. There’s no wrong choice among the five; Dr. Keswani will match the brand to your anatomy, history and goals.

BrandWhat sets it apartTypical onsetTypical durationUnits vs. 1 unit of BotoxRewards

Dysport®Known for a fast, natural-looking onsetOften 2–3 days3–4 months≈ 3ASPIRE

A “unit” isn’t a universal measure — each brand defines its own through its own clinical studies, so more units doesn’t mean weaker and “cheaper per unit” means nothing without the conversion. That’s why we quote by treatment area and program instead.

Areas We Treat

The three standard areas are the forehead, the frown lines (the “11s”) and crow’s feet. A fourth area is a smaller treatment such as lip lines (smoker’s lines), bunny lines, nasal flare, downturned mouth corners, chin dimpling — or a lip flip or gummy-smile treatment.

Masseter (jaw clenching/TMJ) and platysma (neck band) treatments have their own programs — they aren’t counted as standard areas. Masseter treatment eases clenching and grinding and can slim a square jawline over time; read Dr. Keswani’s masseter guide.

Your Consultation & Treatment

1. Consultation. Dr. Keswani assesses your anatomy, goals and treatment history, and recommends the brand, areas and dosing that fit you — honestly, including when tox isn’t the right tool for your concern.

2. Treatment. A series of quick injections with very fine needles — most clients describe it as a quick pinch, and the full appointment typically runs 15–30 minutes.

3. Aftercare. For the first 4 hours: no rubbing or massaging the area, no lying completely flat, no prolonged looking down, and no heavy workouts that flush the face. After about 4 hours the product has bound where it belongs. Facial massage is fine after a day; laser or RF treatments that reach muscle depth wait about a week.

4. Results & follow-up. Softening begins within 3–5 days, with full results at about 2 weeks — which is when we assess the final effect and fine-tune if needed.

The All-Inclusive Tox Program

Our flagship way to do tox: one fixed price covers your chosen areas with a generous included unit allowance — high enough to cover about 99 of 100 clients’ full treatment — plus a complimentary follow-up within three weeks. Dr. Keswani doses to the result, not to a per-unit meter.

Frequently Asked Questions

General Tox Questions

How long does Botox last?

For most people, results last about 3–4 months, with some variation based on your metabolism, muscle strength, and the area treated. Masseter (jaw) treatments are re-done every 3–5 months, while a lip flip wears off sooner — about 4–8 weeks, because only a very small dose can safely go in the lip. We’ll help you find a maintenance rhythm that keeps you consistently smooth.

Does it hurt?

Most clients describe it as a quick pinch — the needles are very fine and each injection takes seconds. The full appointment is typically 15–30 minutes, and ice or numbing cream is available if you’re sensitive. All injections here are physician-administered by Dr. Keswani, MD, which also means a precise, efficient technique.

When will I see results?

You’ll notice softening within 3–5 days, with full results at about 2 weeks. That two-week mark is when we assess the final effect — which is why a follow-up check is part of how we treat. Masseter treatment is a little different: clenching relief starts within 1–2 weeks, but visible jaw slimming takes 4–8 weeks or more.

Can I work out after Botox? What are the aftercare rules?

The rules exist for one reason: for the first few hours, we don’t want product moving toward neighboring muscles (the frown-line area, for instance, sits close to the muscles that lift your eyelids). So for at least 4 hours: no rubbing or massaging the area, no lying completely flat, no prolonged looking down (including bowing with your head to the floor in prayer), and no heavy workouts that flush the face. After about 4 hours the product has bound where it belongs and doesn’t move. Facial massage is fine after a day; laser or RF treatments that reach muscle depth wait about a week.

Will I bruise, and is there anything to avoid beforehand?

There are no strict “before” rules. Pain relievers like ibuprofen or aspirin, fish oil, ginkgo, or a drink the night before aren’t reasons to cancel — they just raise the chance of a small bruise, so skipping them (when your own prescriber says it’s fine) simply means less concealer afterward. The one real rule: if you have an active infection, inflammation, or a bump in the treatment area — or you’re still healing from a recent laser — we treat after it heals, because inflamed tissue lets product spread wider than intended.

Will I look frozen?

Only if that’s what you ask for. The dose is what decides it: more dose means less movement, less dose keeps your expressions while softening the lines — it’s a fully customizable treatment. The first visit calibrates your personal dose (that’s one reason the follow-up matters); from then on, we know exactly how much gives you the look you want. Plenty of our clients keep full expression and simply have fewer lines.

What are the side effects, honestly?

The common ones are small: possible pin-point bleeding or a bruise from the fine needles, and little mosquito-bite bumps that settle within about half an hour. The trade-off worth understanding is in the forehead: too much product low on the forehead can make brows feel heavy (that muscle was holding them up), while treating only the upper forehead can leave peaked “Spock” brows. The answer is dose placement — lighter low, stronger high — and knowing which foreheads shouldn’t be treated at all. That judgment is exactly what you’re paying a physician injector for.

What about eyelid droop — I’ve read horror stories.

True eyelid droop (ptosis) isn’t caused by “too much Botox” — it’s an anatomy accident: product reaching the eyelid-lifting muscle through specific spaces near the eye socket, which an injector who knows that anatomy stays away from. Published rates run around 1 in 100 for experienced injectors (far worse for inexperienced ones); in Dr. Keswani’s practice it’s on the order of 1 in 3,000. If it ever happens it’s temporary — most cases resolve in 3–4 weeks, and prescription eye drops can lift the lid for several hours at a time in the meantime.

Am I too young (or too old) for Botox?

Think of skin like paper: fold it in the same place for years and a permanent crease forms — at that crease the collagen thins and the change becomes structural. Preventing lines really is a matter of fewer folds over a lifetime, so starting early as prevention is legitimate. But honestly, most people come in because a line simply bothers them — and a concern is a feeling: if something bothers you and a treatment can solve it, there’s nothing wrong with doing it. Dr. Keswani will tell you honestly if tox isn’t the right tool for your concern.

What is a lip flip or masseter Botox — are they FDA-approved?

A lip flip relaxes the muscle at the lip border so the upper lip rolls slightly outward — a subtle, no-filler enhancement. Masseter treatment relaxes the jaw muscles to ease clenching/grinding and can slim a square jawline over time. Both are commonly performed, well-established uses of these FDA-approved neurotoxins (the approvals cover indications like frown lines and crow’s feet), and both are physician-administered here by Dr. Keswani, MD.

Can I get Botox while pregnant or breastfeeding?

We don’t treat clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding — safety hasn’t been established in these groups, so the standard of care is to wait. Your results will be here when you’re ready, and we’re happy to plan your return visit in advance.

Is Botox worth it for men?

Absolutely — “Brotox” is one of the fastest-growing segments of our practice. Men typically have stronger facial muscles, so dosing is adjusted upward for natural-looking results that read as “well-rested,” not “done.” Masseter treatment for clenching and jaw tension is also popular with male clients.

Botox vs. Dysport, Xeomin, Letybo & Daxxify

What’s the difference between Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Letybo, and Daxxify?

All five are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A products that work the same way — blocking the nerve signal (acetylcholine) at the nerve–muscle junction so the muscle that creases your skin relaxes. They differ in the accessory proteins that carry the toxin, which mainly affects onset speed: Daxxify (peptide-based) is the fastest, Dysport next; Xeomin is a “naked” toxin with no accessory proteins; Letybo is the newest US approval. There’s no wrong choice — differences come down to onset speed, dosing, and value, and technique evens out the rest. Dr. Keswani carries all five and will match the product to your anatomy and goals.

Why does Dysport need more units — is it weaker?

No. A “unit” isn’t a universal measure like milligrams — each brand defines its own unit through its own clinical studies, so one brand’s unit simply isn’t another’s. More units doesn’t mean weaker, and it doesn’t mean more injections. Typical conversions: about 2.5–3 Dysport units per Botox unit (we use 3, and in Dr. Keswani’s experience that ratio gives slightly more effect, not less), about 2 Daxxify units per Botox unit (likewise slightly stronger at that ratio), with Xeomin a touch above unit-for-unit and Letybo slightly above Xeomin. That’s also why “cheaper per unit” means nothing without the conversion — and why we quote by treatment area and program instead.

Which one lasts the longest?

Because all five work by the same mechanism, duration is broadly comparable and largely dose-dependent. The standout: Daxxify dosed at about 2 units per 1 unit of Botox does last longer than Botox, works noticeably faster, and can succeed on stubborn lines that haven’t responded well to other treatments — which is why Dr. Keswani often suggests it for clients who’ve tried other options without satisfaction.

Which works fastest?

Dysport is usually the quickest to show, often within 2–3 days; Letybo is also noted for a relatively fast onset. Botox, Xeomin, and Daxxify typically show at 3–5 days, with everything reaching full effect around 2 weeks. If you have an event coming up, book at least 2 weeks out so results are fully settled.

Can I switch brands, and is one better if Botox “stopped working” for me?

Absolutely — you can use different brands at different times with no problem (technically even two brands in one sitting, though in practice we don’t). Because the units aren’t interchangeable between brands, the conversion is approximate, so when we switch we adjust and then fine-tune at your follow-up. If results seem to fade faster than they used to, Dr. Keswani will review your treatment history and recommend the best alternative.

How much does each one cost?

Pricing is personalized to your treatment plan and brand choice — text us at (201) 340-4809 and you’ll have a quote in minutes; current offers are always on our Promotions page. Also ask us about manufacturer rewards that lower your cost over time: Allë for Botox, ASPIRE for Dysport, and Merz Xperience+ for Xeomin — we’ll help you enroll and redeem.

Are the “alternatives” as safe as Botox?

Dysport, Xeomin, Letybo, and Daxxify each earned their own FDA approval through large clinical trials, and all have well-characterized safety profiles similar to Botox for their approved uses. As with any injectable, side effects like temporary redness or bruising can occur. Every tox treatment at Forever Medspa is physician-administered by Dr. Keswani, MD, which adds an extra layer of safety and precision.

Masseter / Jaw Clenching

How does masseter Botox help clenching and TMJ pain?

Your jaw joint (TMJ) sits directly under the masseter muscle. When the joint gets irritated, the muscle over it spasms and clenches the jaw harder — which irritates the joint more. It’s a feedback cycle, and relaxing the masseter is what breaks it. Many clients also grind so hard at night that they damage teeth and even break mouth guards; waking jaw pain, difficulty opening, and jaw locking are the classic signs. The relief is significant — some clients on a budget choose masseter treatment over their cosmetic areas. Rarely, the temporalis muscle is treated too for TMJ-related pain, which can also ease headaches secondary to it.

Will it affect my chewing or smile?

Chewing, no — the masseters are accessory chewing muscles; your temporalis and inner jaw muscles handle chewing without any practical difficulty (steak included). Smile changes can happen only if product spreads to a small smile muscle attached near the front of the masseter — which is why Dr. Keswani injects deep and toward the back, where that risk is avoided.

When will my face look slimmer?

Two timelines: the clenching and spasm relief comes first, within 1–2 weeks. The slimming comes later — a muscle that isn’t being used gradually shrinks (like an arm in a cast), so the jawline narrows over the following one to two months. If the fullness in that area is fat rather than muscle, treatment won’t slim it — we’ll tell you honestly at assessment.

What are the side effects of masseter treatment?

Few, when the anatomy is respected. The most common quirk: some people only notice after treatment that a small superficial part of the muscle still bunches into a knot when clenching — easily fixed with a small additional dose, and we note it for future visits. Temporary soreness or bruising can occur. One honest caution: in people predisposed to jowls (weight cycling, heavier lower face), reducing masseter fullness can make jowling slightly more visible — it’s reversible by stopping treatment.

How many units does masseter treatment take, and how often?

More than cosmetic areas — most people need about 20–40 units of Botox (occasionally more; the muscle’s size varies a lot), repeated every 3–5 months. It’s offered as its own program with generous units included — text us at (201) 340-4809 for current program pricing, and Merz Xperience+ rewards can apply.

Lip Flip, Gummy Smile & Small Areas

How does a lip flip work, and why does it wear off so fast?

Say “P” or “B” and feel your lips curl inward — that curl is what hides the pink of your lip. The flip relaxes just the front edge of the lip muscle so it rolls slightly outward instead, showing more lip. Because that same muscle also does real work — kissing, holding a straw, drinking — only a tiny dose (usually 2–3 units) can safely be used, and that’s exactly why the effect lasts just 4–8 weeks. It also tends to work best on younger lips.

What’s a gummy smile treatment?

If your smile shows a lot of gum, a small injection beside the nose relaxes the muscle that over-lifts the lip when you smile. It pairs naturally with the lip flip: the flip improves your lip at rest, the gummy-smile treatment improves it in motion — together they cover both. Results last a typical 3–5 months.

Lip flip or lip filler?

They’re different treatments solving different things. The flip shows more of the lip you have; filler is a gel that actually makes lips bigger (same shape, more volume). The flip is the easy entry point — but if you want genuinely fuller lips, that’s filler territory, and the two can be combined.

What other small areas can be treated?

The common “fourth-area” treatments: smoker’s/lip lines (the vertical lines when you say “O” — treated with the same gentle dosing as the flip, and not only in smokers), bunny lines (the horizontal creases beside the nose when you scrunch), downturned mouth corners (DAO), chin dimpling, and the arc-like lines some people get beside the smile. Any of these can ride along with your main treatment areas.

The All-Inclusive Tox Program

What is the All-Inclusive Tox Program?

It’s our flagship way to do tox: one fixed price covers up to three treatment areas with a generous unit cap, so you’re treated to full correction rather than watching a per-unit meter. Your two-week follow-up is included, and every treatment is physician-administered by Dr. Keswani, MD. It removes the most stressful part of tox pricing — the surprise unit count at checkout.

How is this different from paying per unit?

With per-unit pricing, stronger muscles or larger areas mean an unpredictable bill — and an incentive to underdose. The program fixes the price up front with a unit cap set high enough to cover about 99% of people, so Dr. Keswani doses to the result, not to a meter. If you’re in the rare group that needs more than the cap, the additional units come at a much-reduced rate. And the math favors you: even clients who use 60–70% of the cap pay less than they would per unit.

Which brands can I choose?

The program includes your choice of Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Letybo, or Daxxify. Dr. Keswani will recommend the best fit for your anatomy, onset, and longevity goals — and because Dysport and Daxxify are dosed with more units per area, the program’s area-based structure means you never have to worry about unit conversion math.

What counts as an “area”? Can I use it for masseter or a lip flip?

The program comes in 1-, 2-, and 3-area plans, and the per-area value improves as you add areas (two areas costs more than one, but not double). The three areas are the forehead, the frown lines (“11s”), and crow’s feet. Smaller treatments — lip lines, bunny lines, nasal flare, downturned mouth corners (DAO), chin dimpling — can be added as a fourth area. Masseter treatment is its own program (not one of the areas), and neck bands are a separate program too — text us at (201) 340-4809 and we’ll map out your plan.

What if I need a touch-up after my treatment?

It’s covered — that’s the point of the program. Tox takes about 7–10 days to reach full effect, and because every face and every treatment lands slightly differently, we deliberately dose conservatively first (more can always be added; too much can’t be removed). You can come back for your included follow-up within about 3 weeks, and Dr. Keswani adds exactly what’s needed, where it’s needed, at no extra charge. Follow-ups get scheduling priority.

How much does the program cost?

Pricing is personalized — text us at (201) 340-4809 and you’ll have a quote in minutes, and current offers are on our Promotions page. Don’t forget manufacturer rewards stack with your visits: Allë (Botox), ASPIRE (Dysport), and Merz Xperience+ (Xeomin) all earn points toward future treatments.

Is the program worth it if I only need one small area?

If you truly only treat one small area, a single-area treatment may suit you — but most clients find that balanced results across the upper face look more natural than treating one line in isolation. Dr. Keswani will give you a straightforward recommendation at your consult, and the Promotions page plus a quick text to (201) 340-4809 will show you both options’ pricing.

How often should I come in on the program?

Most clients return every 3–4 months (closer to 6 months if you choose Daxxify). Consistent treatment keeps muscles relaxed, and many clients find results last longer after several regular cycles. We’ll remind you when you’re due so you never ride the rollercoaster of fully worn-off results.
