About Botulinum Toxin A

Botox® and other neuromodulators contain Botulinum Toxin A, a purified protein that temporarily relaxes overactive facial muscles. By gently reducing muscle activity, these treatments soften expression lines caused by frowning, smiling or raising the eyebrows without altering your natural facial expressions. Results typically begin within 1–3 days, reach their full effect by 7–14 days and last around 3–5 months.

Forever MedSpa & Wellness Center carries five FDA‑approved neuromodulator brands. Each product differs slightly in formulation, dosing and longevity. Your provider will help determine the best option for your needs.

Every treatment is customized based on your unique anatomy and goals. The following ranges are typical but may vary by individual.

Upper Face

Frown lines (11’s): ~20–24 units
Forehead (worry lines): ~6–25 units (females) / ~10–40 units (males)
Crow’s feet: ~6–12 units per side
Eyebrow lift: ~2–4 units per side

Lower Face

Lip flip: ~4–6 units total
Gummy smile: ~3–5 units per side

Pre‑Treatment Care

Help minimize bruising and optimize your results by following these suggestions:

Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs and blood‑thinning supplements for 48–72 hours prior to your appointment.
Refrain from applying retinol, exfoliating acids or harsh scrubs to the treatment area for 2–3 days beforehand.
Schedule your appointment at least two weeks before major events to ensure any swelling or redness has resolved.
Arrive with a clean, makeup‑free face.

Post‑Treatment Care

During the first four hours after injections, take care to prevent the medication from migrating into unintended muscles:

Avoid rubbing, massaging or pressing on the treated areas.
Remain upright – do not lie flat – for at least four hours.
Skip strenuous exercise, saunas or intense heat exposure.
Avoid facials, hats or tight headwear that could apply pressure to the treatment zones.

It’s normal to experience mild redness or swelling at the injection sites. These effects typically resolve within hours. Results will gradually appear over the first 7–14 days; optional touch‑ups can be performed after two weeks if needed.
